I work with progressive organisations, campaigns and movements on communications strategy, political storytelling, training and editorial work. My approach is collaborative, practical and rooted in movement-building.

Campaign Communications & Strategy

I provide strategic communications support for organisations and campaigns at different stages of development — from a focused strategy session around an immediate challenge to longer-term consultancy.

This can include campaign and narrative strategy, audience and target mapping, messaging, media strategy, crisis communications, spokesperson development, communications systems and planning. My aim is not simply to produce a strategy document, but to develop tools and approaches teams can actually use.

Training & Coaching

I design participatory workshops and coaching for staff teams, campaigners, community groups and lived-experience leaders.

Topics include communications and campaign strategy, working with the media, spokesperson training, political storytelling, public speaking, facilitation, trauma-informed communications, lived-experience leadership and survivor-centred safeguarding.

Training can take the form of one-to-one coaching, standalone workshops or longer programmes, and is always tailored to the participants and their objectives.

Writing, editing & editorial support

I offer copywriting, structural and line editing, proofreading and sensitivity reading, drawing on extensive experience across advocacy, journalism, campaigning and narrative nonfiction.

Projects have included campaign materials, reports, educational resources, opinion pieces, briefings, long-form writing and organisational communications. Rush editing and proofreading may also be available subject to capacity.

Speaking & Facilitation

I speak and facilitate on communications, movement-building, lived-experience leadership, trauma-informed storytelling, survivor-centred safeguarding, state accountability and gendered violence.

I work primarily with organisations and movements committed to social, economic and climate justice, and particularly enjoy collaborating with smaller or ambitious teams where strategic thinking and hands-on delivery need to work closely together.
